The Varsity # 3 team coached by Mr. Paesani concluded their season with a victory over St. Al's #2. The team was led by Matt Brown, Quinn Kensey and Vince Canzanese.

The Varsity #2 team coached by Mike Labor and Sean Murphy defeated St. Al's #3 in a Bryn Mawr showdown. The #2 team was led by Tom Deenis and Rob D'Anjolell.

The Varisty #1 team coached by Mr. Ed. Scanlan finished with a 11 and 1 record. The team defeated the Varsity #3 team and Varsity #2 team to win the St. Al's round robin tourny. The team was led by Brendan Duffy, Charlie Van Kula, Jack Hagan, Andrew Wilbraham, Chad Luzzi and Gabe Cordes.

The J.V. B team defeated St. Monica's and St. Margaret's two of its wins. The team was led by J.P. Slota, Billy Boyle, Jake Snee, Christian Deenis and P.J. Finley.

The Varsity A Basketball team finished 7 and 5 in the region and 12 and 12 overall. Jim Brennan and Doug McHale represented St. Al's in the region 32 All star game. The team was led by Doug McHale, Tim Cannon, Nick Palumbo, Jim Brennan, Ricky Slusaryczk, McKenna Touey.

The J.V. A basketball team started the season with two Thanksgiving tournament victories. The team concluded the Thanksgiving weekend with a championship win in the St. Edmund's Tournament and the Visitation Tournament. Mike Miller won the Free Throw Competition in the Visitation Tournament. The team currently finished the season with a 25 and 5 record (10 and 2 in the region, incluced a regular season tie for best record). The team concluded its season with a overtime win vs. St. Edmund's in their end of the year tournament. Kyle Sacchetta and Matt McGurk were named to the region 32 All-Star team.The team members are as follows:  Mike Miller, Tim Irvine, Kyle Sacchetta, Matt McGurk, Ryan McNulty, John Papandon, Thomas Sweeney, Keenan Carlin, Tim O'Brien and Joe Panichelli.

Philosophy

The philosophy of the athletic program is to make available to the athlete diverse opportunities that are consistent with the religious and educational goals of the Academy. St. Aloysius Academy has an excellent reputation in athletics and offers an impressive array of sports during the academic year.

Fall Sports

St. Aloysius fields a fourth-grade Cadet, fifth and sixth-grade JV, seventh and eighth-grade Varsity soccer teams, and a JV and a Varsity football teams.

Winter Sports

The Academy has a Cadet basketball team and three JV and Varsity basketball teams.

Spring Sports

Three sports are offered with an option of playing two sports in the same season. The Academy fields a fourth through eighth-grade track team, a sixth through eighth-grade lacrosse team, and a JV and a Varsity baseball team.

The teams play in the Philadelphia Archdiocesan CYO league. The Academy has a utility gym, a large gymnasium, a football field, lacrosse and soccer field, two baseball diamonds, and two outdoor basketball courts.
